Greetings good people,
I am looking for the docs on applying the custom fields for the your account module. I have searched here and looked in the how to install. I cannot seem to locate instructions on how to apply custom fields. Nor can I seem to find anything in the admin area that would do the job. Am I blind, have I missed it? If anyone can point me to the instructions I truly would appreciate it. My thanks in advance.

All you need to do is go into RNYA and click custom fields and fill in the boxes.
...or am I missing the point? |

Before we released RN2.3 someone with the username fkelly was going to write documentation for things like this. He never got to it. Consider it another unwritten manual.
I believe you can define custom fields like Jakec said. The screen for defining them is fairly self-explanatory. Then for instance you could require them to be filled in as part of registration through the other admin screens. Yeah, I just tested it ... create a field, say "dogbreath". Set a length. In the default value column you can put something like "0" or "1" or you could put yes::no::maybe and it will create a select box with drop down values in it. Then in status column you can put whether it is active or deactivated and whether it should be shown on the registration screen or required on the registration screen. It all seems to work pretty intuitively.
Sorry again about the lack of documentation. Just something we didn't get to. If anybody out there wants to volunteer to write documentation for RN2.4 I am sure it would be appreciated. You don't need to be a programmer, just someone who can write and proceed through the screens logically and handle exceptions. |

If I can figure it out I would be honored to contribute to the effort. |

Sorry ... we internally have been referring to Your Account as RNYA (Ravennuke Your Account). For your purposes it is just Your Account and can be found under that name in the modules directory. RNYA is a derivative of CNBYA which was an alternative Your Account module that has been under development for several years and which was brought into Ravennuke for the 2.3 release. It offers many significant enhancements over the standard Nuke YA. You can read more about it in the credits area of the YA administration.
If you want to contribute to the documentation you could start by posting a few well-written explanations of the YA administration functions here. Keep them relatively brief I would suggest. A few paragraphs for each function explaining the ins and outs. Later we could collect them together and publish them in a Wiki that's under development or some other place where we centrally document this stuff. |

Easy just go into admin>edit users>custom fields, there type in a new ID Field Name like Your Facebook, than leave the second option blank, and set the size to say 15, status Active...leave Order blank, and set to public. Click save |
