Free traffic to your nuke site with ShiverLink
kenetix writes "Want more traffic to your PHP-Nuke driven website, blog, or fan page? If you own a website, you'll understand that one of the toughest things about owning a website is getting visitors (web traffic). Advertising nowadays is either really expensive, ineffective, or extremely time consuming.
Here's a new solution I'd recommend trying out. It was developed by me and a few other web developers and partners, and we call it ShiverLink. ShiverLink is a free online service that allows you to gain unlimited exposure and traffic to your websites through a unique and innovative link discovery and sharing platform. In other words, ShiverLink can help you receive more traffic to your website for free, absolutely no charge.

jQuery 1.5 Released
About The Release (from the jQuery announcement)
This release saw 83 fixed bugs and a total of 460 closed tickets. The test suite (which now has 4437 tests) passes in all the browsers that jQuery supports - and more. We verified the suite passing all of the following browsers:
Additionally all of the API documentation for the release can be found on the API site: jQuery 1.5 API Documentation.
A full schedule of our upcoming releases can be found on our roadmap. Right now we’re planning on doing major jQuery releases more frequently (likely a couple times a year, rather than once per year). So, without further ado, what’s changed in jQuery 1.5?

Mozilla and P2PU offer free HTML 5, CSS, JS courses and more
kguske writes "The School of Webcraft, a partnership between Mozilla and Peer 2 Peer University (P2PU), is offering free university level courses on HTML5, CSS and JS - key ingredients for modern web and mobile app development. Classes start January 26, 2011, and last for 6 to 10 weeks. Registration begins January 8, 2011, and suggestions for courses are still being accepted. Will this interesting approach replace paid technical certification programs?"

Montego Retires from RavenNuke(tm) Team After Four Years of Service
montego writes "Yes, it is true. I, Montego, officially retired from the RavenNuke(tm) Team on April 30 of 2010. I have had a great run on this Team and with the Project. I still believe wholeheartedly in the project and will continue to support the community of RN'ers in the forums as well as in getting back to my "roots" of caring and feeding of certain *nuke modules, blocks, hacks, etc. via Montego Scripts. I have new versions of NSN Group Downloads, HTML Newsletter and other scripts in the works to bring to the community.
It has been a wonderful time with the project and various team members. I have made some really great on-line friends while on the team and have even met Raven and KGuske personally in 2009! I wish that I could have met more of the Team along the way! I have learned a lot since joining the on-line world back in 2005, when I first met with PHP-Nuke and then Raven PHP Scripts. Never been the same since! LOL.
I plan on using what little time I have for this hobby to support my growing list of non-profit (and non-paying) clients with a little left over for the above mentioned caring and feeding. While no longer a RN Team member and admin on RPS, I will forever have RN, RPS, and the Team running through my veins...
Best Regards and NOT Goodbye,
montego"
