These include changes to development infrastructure as well as our development model. I will briefly outline these changes here, more details will be posted on the blog or as an announcement soon.

phpBB 3.0.2 released
PHPBBAnnouncement from the phpBB Development Team:

We are very pleased to announce the availability of the phpBB 3.0.2 package. This version has seen numerous stability fixes, performance tweaks and general bugs fixed. Additionally one minor security-related bug was fixed.

With this release, we also re-introduced the code changes tutorial. Due to the different codebase in phpBB3, these are a lot bigger and a lot more complicated than they ever were in phpBB2
- also the reason why we introduced the automatic update package and automatic updater in phpBB, which is able to handle modded boards too by merging differences. We do not recommend the use of the code changes tutorial
- those are meant for professional users and support teams to help assist users having problems while updating.

Please note that we urge you to update. The versions we currently support here are phpBB 2.0.23 and phpBB 3.0.2.

Important changes since 3.0.1:

phpBB Group announces the release of phpBB 2.0.21 (Stand Alone)
PHPBBHi everyone,

phpBB Group announces the release of phpBB 2.0.21, the "Bertie's Summer Vacation" edition. This release is a cumulative bug fix update, as well as including a number of minor security fixes. We have altered the visual confirmation system used on servers without zlib enabled to bring it up to the same level as that used elsewhere and made a few small performance improvements.

As with all new releases we urge you to update as soon as possible. You can of course find this download available on our PHPBB downloads page. As per usual four packages are available to simplify your update.

Full Package
Contains entire phpBB2 source and English language package

Changed Files Only
Contains only those files changed from previous versions of phpBB.
Please note this archive contains changed files for each previous release

Patch Files
Contains patch compatible patches from the previous versions of phpBB.

Code Changes
Contains step-by-step instructions in MOD format for updating heavily MODified installs

Select whichever package is most suitable for you.

What has changed in this release?

Note: phpNuke users: This NOT the update for you. Chatserv or Evaders99 will shortly be releasing the phpNuke version.

Manual Upgrade of BB2Nuke 2.0.20 np
PHPBBToolBox writes "Needless to say, we have appreciable works of BB2Nuke by Evaders99 and Chatserv. BB2Nuke for plain php-nuke is the milestone and the basis to allow all php-nuke based forums. The forums powered by BB2Nuke is one of dedicatedly expanding module: more than 5000 MODs for phpBB2 & BB2Nukes.

Unfortunately, as a new BB2Nuke and phpBB2 nuke versions appear, such highly elaborated BB2Nuke forums and phpBB2 forums exerts abnormal forces to site managers. For this reason, most high-MODed BB2Nuke sites are upgraded at tremendiously slow speed. To help such highly MODed bb2nuke forums, as NukeKorea Dev. Team has made a manual upgrader since BB2Nuke 2.0.17. In the same vein, even though the current manual upgrader was detarded, NukeKorea Dev. Network released Manual Upgrader of BB2Nuke 2.0.20 in public.
