montego writes "Why would someone need something like this? PHP-Nuke uses the PHP mail() function and many web hosts these days are shutting off access to this function. These hosts are now requiring authenticated SMTP. Hence the need for a replacement for PHP-Nuke's mailer functions. For example, the user registration process will not work properly as it requires an email activation link (to try and slow down spammers from auto registration).
For a more detailed explanation of the TegoNuke™ Mailer and a more detailed list of features, check out the TegoNuke™ Mailer NukeForge page.
This mailer was created for RavenNuke™ 2.20.x and is just a few key-clicks away from being able to use with SMTP (click on the TegoNuke Mailer link within the Administration Control Panel). For you non-RavenNukers (shame on you - lol), come Download TegoNuke Mailer now!
NOTE: You may be asking "why another mailer@quot;? When I had started to look for mailers to add to RavenNuke™ last year, I had reviewed PHPNukeMailer and I liked what I saw, especially in the admin area, but it had looked like it was no longer an active project. That is no longer the case! Also at the time, I liked what I was seeing out of Swift Mailer more than PHPMailer. TegoNuke™ Mailer AND PHPNukeMailer will both make fine alternatives for the community. So, since I had already implemented my stitched together Mailer into RavenNuke™, I might as well give the non-RavenNukers choice as well. :-)"

Free PHP Encoder and Obfuscator Online!
kenetix writes "Hi everyone, I'm pleased to announce the opening of a new site and a free script here at http://www.freephpencoder.com. The site offers a free php code obfuscation and encoding service that allows people to distribute workable encoded php files for free.
Steps to encoding are extremely simple, simply upload the unencrypted file, download the encoded file, and you are ready to use the file (with the decryptor).
Many more features are planned to implemented with different encoding algorithms, but currently the free service currently utilizes the Zend engine for decoding. A byte encoding feature is currently being developed, and will be released shortly.
More information regarding this can be obtained from my community site: www.kenetix.net"

RavenNuke™v2.20.01 CMS Released
When RavenNuke™ v2.20.00 was released, we announced that a maintenance release would follow within 2-3 weeks. Not all the documentation was up to date and we knew there would be some minor issues found by our faithful users. There are no major changes to code nor any database schema changes so the upgrade really should be pretty painless assuming you are using v2.20.00. Otherwise you will need to follow the documented upgrade instructions for your version.
Note:As of 2008-03-03 10:40:35 the download links are now working - sorry about the finger fumbling!

Member_Map: A new Google Maps Module!
Gremmie writes "I've just released the first version of Member_Map, a new module for PHP-Nuke! This module allows you to display an interactive Google map on your website, and your site members can add their location and a brief message to the map! It is a lot of fun seeing where your site members hail from.
Requirements: You need a patched Nuke, 7.6 or higher. Of course it was developed and tested on RavenNuke! You also need PHP5, so check with your host if you aren't sure about that. Finally, you need a Google Maps API key, which is free from Google. Complete installation instructions are included in the archive.
